Dealing with Work Related Injuries

Posted on February 17, 2016 0

Several studies point to the health risks of the computer era. According to recent studies, more than 50 percent of people who work at computer suffer neck and upper back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and shoulder pain. The most common work related injuries are related to the overuse of computers. Our 9 to 5 desk job is one of the causes of these work related injuries.

Dealing with work related injuries is not an easy task. You need to adopt a healthy posture and lifestyle to alleviate the pain, prevent further deterioration and avoid the risk of future injuries. If these injuries are not addressed on time can lead to RSI or repetitive stress injury. Hence, it is important that people incorporate practical ways to counter the ill effects of poor posture and inappropriate body mechanics. A physical therapist guides you about the proper posture and right form of exercises to deal with work related injuries. This includes exercises that activate gluteus medius and upper part of gluteus maximus and minimize the activity of tensor facial lata (TFL).
